Core responsibilities
The registered behavior technician will accurately record real-Time data on student behaviors, implement applied behavior analysis (Aba) techniques to modify targeted behaviors, and prepare instructional materials for sessions. They must also track hours, meet supervision requirements, and effectively utilize crisis prevention intervention techniques.
Requirements summary
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and hold a high school diploma or ged, with the requirement to obtain and maintain a valid rbt certification within 90 days of employment. A clear criminal background check is mandatory, and the technician must be able to work under the supervision of a board certified behavior analyst (Bcba) in a school setting.
