Position Details
Special Education Teacher Title: Special Education Teacher Location: Manor, TX Duration: 02/17/26 to 05/29/26 Onsite/Virtual: Onsite Position Type: Contract Working Hours: 35 to 37.5 hours weekly, from Monday to Friday (30 min un-paid lunch) Student Age Group: Elementary Grade Case Load: The FAC classroom (Functional Academic classroom) has students that spend the majority of their time in the special education classroom, but has time in the general education classroom for academics as appropriate
Responsibilities
SpEd Teacher Provide special education scholars with learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Develop or modify curricula and prepare lessons and other instructional materials to match scholar ability levels. Work in self-contained, team, departmental, or itinerant capacity as assigned.
Qualifications
Special Education Teacher Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. Valid Texas Special Education teaching certificate with required special education endorsements for assignments. Knowledge of special needs of scholars in the assigned area. Knowledge of Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process and Individual Education Plan (IEP) goal setting process and implementation. General knowledge of curriculum and instruction. At least one year of SPED student teaching experience. Our client asked me to submit 3 great people within the next few days.
