Candidates must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or ged, and must meet specific state of wi teacher qualifications, such as holding 3 state classes or an aa/Ba degree in early childhood education or a cda. One year of professional teaching experience in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred, along with demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (Dap).
