Core responsibilities
The teacher designs and delivers a balanced program of instruction for secondary level health services, developing and implementing comprehensive lesson plans for various planning periods. Responsibilities also include assigning and grading work, establishing behavioral protocols, and supporting extracurricular activities.
Requirements summary
A bachelor's degree from an accredited school and proper endorsement and certification are required, specifically a current nebraska teaching certificate with an endorsement in health education, health and physical education, or family and consumer sciences. Obtaining a nationally recognized personal restraint model certification during pre-Service training is also mandatory for day school positions.
