Substitute Teacher

The substitute teacher supports daily early childhood center operations by stepping in as a lead or assistant teacher when regular staff are absent, implementing developmentally appropriate activities, and fostering a warm, nurturing environment. This role also involves adhering to all federal, state, and accreditation standards, following emergency procedures, and assisting with kitchen and janitorial duties as needed.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or ged and demonstrate competency in providing nurturing teacher-Child interactions, implementing curriculum, and promoting child progress across learning standards. Required certifications include current tb screening, first aid, and pediatric cpr training, along with mandatory ongoing state-Approved training hours.
