Teaching Assistant ESM/Park Hill Preschool

The teaching assistant supports a multidisciplinary team by implementing curriculum activities and providing educational interventions and behavioral support to preschool children with disabilities under the direction of the special education teacher. This role involves sharing in planning, assisting with daily classroom functions, and ensuring consistency in programming according to student individualized education programs (Ieps).

A high school diploma or ged is required, though an associate's or bachelor's degree in early education, psychology, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should possess experience with young children, the ability to present with warmth, and knowledge of child development, with preferred knowledge of autism spectrum disorder and behavioral interventions.
