Employment Specialist

The employment specialist assists elmcrest youth by providing employment counseling to enhance volunteer experiences, employability skills, and work readiness, ensuring participants receive necessary training and support to obtain employment. Key duties include conducting intake assessments, developing vocational plans, coordinating activities, maintaining case records, and developing community linkages for employment resources.

Candidates must have a high school diploma, with a college degree and prior experience preferred, specifically two years of related experience working with youth, supervising, teaching, and goal-Writing. Essential qualifications include the ability to lift 50 pounds, provide physical crisis intervention including restraints, maintain a valid driver's license, and possess strong organizational and communication skills.
