Responsibilities
Develop lesson plans and set high expectations for students Giving and grading assignments, homework and tests Establish and administer classroom rules and standards Take attendance and document daily notes Help students prepare for standardized testing Oversee students during recess, lunch and other activities Update and meet with parents about their children’s progress Maintain a clean and sanitary classroom Communicate with parents regularly through the class newsletter and parent-teacher conferences Help plan and lead fall and spring semester field trips Work with staff to ensure all gaps are filled and school policies are being followed appropriately Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development Willingness to learn and apply Classical Christian teaching methodologies
Qualifications
Proven work experience as a teacher or similar role The ability to communicate in ways students will understand, as well as with parents and administrators Confidence speaking in front of groups and enforcing classroom rules The creativity to create engaging lesson plans and inspire students to learn The physical and mental stamina to keep up with high-energy grade school students Must be detail-oriented and able to follow written and verbal instructions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Degree in Education; Master’s degree a plus Classical Christian education experience a plus A teaching license is preferred Salary: 33000 - 40000 USD Per annum
