Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable, caring, and flexible Part-Time Float Teacher to support our classrooms and staff throughout the day. This position plays an important role in maintaining a smooth, safe, and engaging environment for children by assisting in multiple classrooms as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
- Step into classrooms as needed to maintain appropriate teacher-to-child ratios
- Assist lead teachers with daily routines, including meals, diapering/toileting, and transitions
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that support learning and development
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
- Build positive relationships with children, staff, and families
- Follow all licensing regulations and center policies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Previous childcare experience preferred (but not required)
- Ability to be flexible and adapt quickly to different classrooms and routines
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- A genuine love for working with young children
- Must pass background check and meet state licensing requirements
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and sitting on the floor
