Evening School (YouthBuild Philly Flex) - Science & Social Justice Teacher

This dual teaching role requires instructing both science and social justice courses across the school year, focusing on creating a relationship-Driven classroom centered on inquiry and real-World connections. Responsibilities also include facilitating an independent study hall section daily and providing mentorship to a small cohort of students.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree and preferably a master's degree, along with current pennsylvania teaching certification in science and social studies 7-12, with science certification being strongly preferred. Experience teaching social justice content and working with opportunity youth or in alternative education settings is preferred, alongside a deep alignment with the youthbuild mission.
