Core responsibilities
This role involves serving families and children in the head start program by assisting in planning and implementing family engagement activities and supporting families in meeting basic needs and setting personal growth goals. The coordinator will also provide information and referral services, coordinate transitions between educational stages, and maintain data entry for the resource & referral software database.
Requirements summary
Candidates must have experience working with children aged three to five, with preference given to experience with low-Income families in an urban setting and in child development services. Essential skills include effective oral and written communication, the ability to work well in a team, provide early childhood training, and demonstrate passion for assisting diverse and at-Risk families.
