Baxter YMCA - Aquatics - Assistant Swim Instructor

The assistant swim instructor will deliver safe and challenging classes in accordance with ymca and safety guidelines, operating under the direction of the program coordinator and/Or aquatics director. This role requires adherence to established safety protocols while conducting aquatic instruction.

Candidates must be a minimum of 14 years old, demonstrate emotional maturity, and pass a swim test verifying the ability to perform instructed strokes and tread water for at least two minutes. Required certifications include first aid within 60 days, and lifeguard or aquatic safety assistant certification by 90 days if turning 16, alongside various ymca and internal training completions.
