Preschool Assistant Teacher, Seagull Schools (Kailua)

The assistant teacher supports the lead teacher by maintaining a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment, assisting in planning and delivering age-Appropriate activities, and ensuring the emotional and developmental needs of the children are met. Key duties include adhering to accreditation standards, working with small groups, assisting with meals/Naps, monitoring behavior, and maintaining classroom organization and cleanliness.

Candidates must meet state daycare licensing requirements for an assistant teacher, which includes having a cda, two years of college plus six months of preschool experience and nine units in early childhood education, or equivalent qualifications. Applicants must also pass medical, tb, and criminal history clearances, be able to lift up to 35 lbs, and possess current cpr/First aid certification.
