After-School/Summer Camp Group Leader - Coney Island

The group leader oversees the daily functioning, development, and engagement of elementary and/Or middle school students in the after-School program under the direction of the program director and assistant director. Key duties include utilizing positive youth development principles, planning and delivering theme-Based academic and enrichment activities, providing homework help, and ensuring student safety and well-Being.

Candidates should ideally possess an associate’s or bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, along with a minimum of two years working in out-Of-School time (Ost) or other youth education programs. Essential qualifications include effective behavioral management skills, knowledge of anti-Racism and gender equity principles, and strong communication abilities.
