Description The Lake County Teacher Residency Resident Teacher position is a one-year training position that provides a training stipend, financial aid, and reduced tuition cost to become a full-time teacher. This position is for career changers that are looking for an accessible opportunity to become a full-time teacher. During the one-year training program, you will receive a $22,100 stipend to assist with tuition or living costs. Once you complete the one-year training, you will have earned a Master's degree and the credentials to become a full-time teacher starting salary range from $51,000 - $56,000 annually.

Program Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree at the start of the program required GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale U.S. Citizen, national, or permanent resident Scholarship and Financial Aid: AUSL provides resident teachers with a $22,100 resident teacher scholarship that is paid directly to you. You can choose to use this living allowance to pay for tuition costs or to cover living costs you will incur throughout your training year.
