Junior Camp Counselor

The junior camp counselor assists the summer camp director in supervising assigned campers to ensure a healthy and positive summer program, which includes implementing activities and maintaining safety according to nj requirements. Essential functions also involve communicating positively, treating children with respect, participating in waterfront duties, and adhering to all safety and abuse reporting procedures.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old and preferably have experience in camping, recreation, teaching, childcare, or physical education, along with knowledge of crafts, group games, and sports. Candidates must also possess excellent human relation and communication skills, and either hold current cpr/Aed and first aid certification or obtain it within 90 days of employment.
