YMCA Summer Program Counselors

The summer program counselor will provide fun and educational care to children entering 1st through 4th grade, ensuring they engage in safe and constructive playtime, field trips, and learning activities based on daily themed lesson plans. Responsibilities also include supervising mealtimes, using appropriate discipline, maintaining a safe environment, and communicating observations to supervisors and parents.

Candidates must display the ymca values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, and must be at least 16 years old. Previous childcare or educational experience is preferred, but cpr/First aid and child abuse prevention training are required within 30 days of hire, with the ymca providing the training.
