Core responsibilities
The school nurse will maintain the integrity of, advocate for, and facilitate the implementation of the academy’s vision, mission, and core values while performing essential duties such as identifying student health needs and developing individual health services plans. Key duties include conducting screenings, supervising immunization compliance, administering medications, training personnel, and ensuring a safe school environment through disease control measures.
Requirements summary
Minimum qualifications require a bachelor’s or higher degree in nursing or three or more years of licensed, practical experience as an rn working with school-Aged children, including community or school health settings. Candidates must possess a valid colorado rn license or be licensed in a compact state, and ideally have the cde school nurse endorsement or willingness to complete it.
