A 5th Grade Teacher at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta School is responsible for fostering a Christ-centered, academically excellent learning environment that supports the spiritual, intellectual, social, and emotional development of each student. The teacher integrates Catholic values into all aspects of instruction, maintains high academic standards, and supports the mission and vision of the school in alignment with the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools (NSBECS). Job Responsibilities Faith Formation and Integration

Model and promote Catholic values in all interactions Incorporate faith-based principles into daily lessons and classroom activities Foster a respectful, inclusive classroom environment rooted in Catholic teachings Participate in liturgies, prayer services, and religious celebrations

Instructional Excellence

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum, state standards, and NSBECS Deliver instruction appropriate to the developmental and academic needs of 5th grade students Use a variety of instructional strategies, including differentiated instruction Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and independent learning Integrate technology to enhance instruction and student engagement

Student Development

Support the spiritual, academic, and social-emotional growth of 5th grade students Maintain high expectations for student behavior, responsibility, and academic achievement Assess student progress using formative and summative assessments Provide timely feedback and communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred) Valid teaching certification appropriate for elementary education Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church Strong knowledge of Catholic teachings and commitment to faith-based education Experience teaching at the elementary level, preferably in a Catholic school Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance instruction
