Before and After School Program Assistant Teacher

Assistant teachers will support the site coordinator by assisting in the planning, development, and implementation of classroom activities to ensure a reliable, safe, and fun environment for children before and after school. Essential duties include preparing materials, maintaining attendance records, supervising children, and communicating daily activity information to parents.

Candidates need six months to one year of experience in youth development or an equivalent combination of education and training, along with the ability to interact positively with diverse groups of people and a desire to work with school-Age children. Required certifications include blood borne pathogen training, with cpr, first aid, and aed-Oxygen certifications needed within the first 60 days, alongside a state of michigan criminal background clearance.
