The school therapist collaborates with a treatment team and school staff to plan and deliver clinical services, case coordination, intervention, consultation, and education services. These services are provided to children, adolescents, adults, and families within a school environment.

Candidates must possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant social sciences field such as counseling, social work, or rehabilitation. Licensure in ohio as an lpc or lsw is required, and preferred experience includes training in individual and group psychotherapy and community support psychiatric services.
