Job description

Our Lady of Hope / St. Luke School is seeking an experienced Kindergarten Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The Kindergarten Teacher is responsible for teaching all subjects, monitoring the progress of students, and other aspects of classroom preparation and organization. Knowledge of classroom technology and learning strategies is an asset.

  • Essential Functions
  • Follow the guidelines and tenants of the Catholic Church and the curriculum of the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
  • Provide supervision for homeroom before and at the end of the day.
  • Instruct grade specific classes in ELA, math, science, social studies, and religion classes (if Catholic).
  • Recess and lunch duties as scheduled.
  • Attend faculty meetings as scheduled.
  • Attend various school events such as Back to School Night, graduation, and Open House.
  • Position Qualifications
  • A practicing Catholic is preferred but not required.
  • Maryland certified or willing to pursue MD certification.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
