Job description

  • The Middle School Resource Teacher for Resurrection, St.
  • Paul in Ellicott City, Maryland leads a dynamic team, working to meet the needs of every student in a diverse population.
  • In coordination with teachers and administration, the Special Education Teacher provides in class and pull-out support for students needing support or enrichment.
  • The position includes communication and record keeping, as well as serving on two student support teams.
  • The position requires knowledge and understanding of special education guidelines and strategies.
  • This position is for the 2026–2027 school year.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate the Student Advocacy Team's instructional efforts.
  • Work with individual and small groups of students in and outside of the classroom.
  • Maintain records of student progress
  • Coordinate with classroom teachers and school administrators.
  • As a leader of the Student Advocacy Team; help to identify students needing assistance or challenge work and provide resources.
  • Supervise the implementation of student accommodation plans.
  • Provide support to teachers of students with accommodations.
  • Provide support and resources to English language learners.
  • Maintain student records for interventions.
  • Develop and review student accommodation plans annually.
  • Meet with parents to discuss student accommodations and progress.

  • Ability to organize and coordinate team efforts.
  • Understanding of language acquisition.

Range: $45,000 – 65,000, Annualized
