Job description
Monsignor Slade Catholic School in Glen Burnie, MD, is seeking a full-time PreK4 Instructional Assistant for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a 10-month position, and full-time employees are benefit-eligible.
Instructional Assistants provide direct support to teachers and students in the classroom. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player who anticipates the needs of both students and teachers. Responsibilities may include grading assignments, preparing classroom materials, and providing one-on-one support to students.
- Essential Functions
- Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times.
- Assists with instruction and prepares teaching materials/supplies as directed by the teacher.
- Assists students with technology or other audio equipment.
- Ensures that arrival and dismissal procedures and conducted in a safe and orderly manner.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, assistants, staff, and administration.
- Support the mission of the school and the Catholic church within instructional practices.
- Position Qualifications
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Preferred candidates will have completed 6 semester hours or 90 clock hours (or the equivalent) of approved preservice training, or hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential. A willingness to complete these requirements by the start date is required if not already obtained.
- Experience working with children in a school or child-care setting.
Range
$17.00 - $19.00, Hourly
