Essential job functions

  • Teach 3 -14 contact hours clinical and/or lecture classes in in one or more areas depending on transcript review and experience: Fundamentals, Pharmacology, Medical/Surgical, Pediatric, OB, Mental Health and/ or Lifespan Development courses, etc.
  • Provide scheduled/regular skills assistance and tutoring
  • Attend mandatory course and faculty meetings
  • Collaborate with nursing faculty in developing and evaluating course curriculum, learning support, and assessments
  • Implement and evaluate strategies for improved student retention and success
  • Be available to teach accepted assigned scheduled course time: day, evening, and or weekends
  • Other related duties as required

Qualifications

  • MS-Nursing earned or in progress and current RN license required (ADN, BSN).
  • BS-Nursing and current RN license required (PN)
  • Successful teaching in higher education setting preferred.
  • Clinical experience in field required.
  • Working knowledge of computer software (e-mail, Microsoft Word, etc)
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development and student success
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to make meaningful and positive connections with diverse student body in a career college environment

Compensation: $55-$65/hour
