Position Summary

The RN program clinical instructors are responsible for the education and supervision of students in community/practice settings, and program development and evaluation. Instructors are classified as full-time or part-time depending on the number of hours worked.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical instruction including lectures, lab, simulation sessions, testing, attendance, and communication with students, clinical safety, security, and discipline.
- Provide clinical instruction, laboratory sessions, clinical site discipline, safety and security following policies and procedures of each clinical site.
- Assess each patient assigned to the student.
- Clinical faculty function under the supervision of the nursing faculty member who has overall course responsibility.
- Prepare student progress reports, enter grades, and maintain confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Education/Credentials
- Masters degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited educational institution required
- Current unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse in the State in which the program is licensed
- Experience
- Minimum of two years full-time clinical experience as a registered nurse or advanced practice nurse
- Prior teaching or presentation experience preferred
