Qualifications

  • Active Missouri Teaching License required.
  • Availability to work the entire summer program required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; Certification in a specific subject area preferred.
  • Prior teaching experience is preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
  • Experience working effectively with culturally diverse communities.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and management skills.
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, fiscal reporting, email, and internet applications.
  • Local travel required; valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.
  • Valid identification required.
  • Must pass background checks and drug screens.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must complete the essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, bend, operate a computer, handheld learning devices, and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds unassisted. This job's specific abilities include close vision, such as reading handwritten or typed material and adjusting focus. In addition, the position involves distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception vision abilities.
