St. Paul's School seeks a part-time Lifeguard to be part of a dedicated team of Lifeguards that support each other.

Essential

Duties and Responsibilities

Must be able to pass the Red Cross Lifeguard Certification course, or already hold certification. Duties include supervising and ensuring safety around the pool. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Knowledge of CPR and emergency action skills and rescue skills. Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions. Participate in in-service training.

Qualification Requirements

Language Skills

Good oral and written communication skills.

Reasoning Skills

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Current Red Cross lifeguard certification or ability to pass the course and CPR for Professional Rescuer/First Aid certification required.

Physical Demands

Must be a strong swimmer.

The following shifts are available

During the school year

  • Monday -
  • Friday, 3:30pm - 6:00pm, hours may be available on
  • Sundays 1-4:00pm during fall and spring term and
  • Saturdays during the winter term 1:30-5:30pm.

Additionally, we will have shifts available from June 22- July 24, 2026, Monday-Friday from 2:30-5:30.
