TRIO SSS Peer Mentor

The peer mentor will be paired with 10 to 15 incoming trio sss participants (Mentees) to connect them to the program's culture of support, academic resources, and an informed peer before classes start. Mentors must work with mentees in one-On-One and group settings throughout the academic year while maintaining communication with the program coordinator.

Applicants must currently be enrolled participants in the trio sss program with a minimum cumulative gpa of 2.5, though special circumstances are considered. Essential requirements include attending mandatory training, demonstrating responsibility, a strong desire to help others, and committing to ongoing meetings with mentees and the program coordinator throughout the academic year.
