Classroom Behavior Specialist PD

The specialist assists the special education teacher in implementing academic and social-Emotional programming for assigned students, which includes formulating and implementing behavioral plans consistent with ieps. Responsibilities also involve collecting and managing behavioral data, preparing reports, and providing academic support as directed by the classroom team.

A baccalaureate degree in education or related human service fields is preferred, along with basic knowledge of data entry programs like excel, though training is provided if needed. Candidates must be able to perform physical management tasks, including lifting up to fifty pounds, and utilize de-Escalation techniques in a stressful psychiatric setting involving aggressive students.
