Position Announcement
Practical Nursing Multi-Campus Instructor (Full-Time) Position
- The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Upper Cumberland is accepting applications for the position of Practical Nursing Instructor.
- This position will serve multiple campuses until the Bledsoe County Campus is completed, at which time the primary assignment will be at the Bledsoe County location.
- The Practical Nursing Instructor will work under the direction of the Coordinator of Practical Nursing and collaborate closely with Practical Nursing faculty.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate a high standard of personal and professional ethics and possess a sincere interest in teaching and the nursing profession.
- A criminal background check is required for the selected applicant.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate Degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
- Current TN Registered Nurse license.
- Minimum of 3 years current hospital and/or nursing home experience.
- Previous teaching experience a plus.
General Duties
- Teach full course curriculum; develop course outlines, lesson plans, lectures, and exams for multiple campuses.
- Supervise student’s clinical experiences as scheduled.
- Provides individual evaluation of each student’s progress with counseling and appropriate recommendations when required.
- Maintains confidential, accurate, and complete student records.
- Participate in recruitment of students and placement of graduates.
- Maintains ongoing competency required for RN licensure by participation in continuing education opportunities.
Salary
Commensurate with experience and according to salary guidelines established by the Tennessee Board of Regents.
