Title
TRiO Tutoring - Peer Tutor, Tutor I, Tutor II, Tutor III (Temporary Part-Time)
Position Summary
To increase student success and retention through collaborative learning.
Department: PSCC-TRiO Student Support Services
Location
The location will depend on which campus the SI/Peer Tutoring supported class is taught. Hardin Valley campus will use the SI Room, Peer Tutoring Math Lab, and/or Study Rooms in the ERC. Other locations vary.
Pay Rate
- Amount of pay per hour according to academic level.
- Peer Tutor (Student Employment Program) $14.00 – no experience; $15.00- 6 months experience; $16.00- 9 months experience
- Tutor I (Less than 1 year experience) $16.00
- Tutor II (1-3 years of experience) $17.00
- Tutor II (3+ year & experience) $19.00
Duties and Responsibilities
1. 80% Tutor students individually and in groups.
2. 5% Complete tutor training activities.
3. 5% Confer with other tutors and teachers to resolve students’ problems.
4. 10% Complete documentation of tutoring activities.

Required Qualifications
Peer Tutor – High School diploma or equivalent and completion of tutored subject area with a grade of “B” or better.

- Completion of tutored subject area with a grade of “B” or better.
Tutor II –Completion of tutored subject area with a grade of “B” or better.
Tutor III –Completion of tutored subject area with a grade of “B” or better.
