Title: Assistant Cross Country and Half Marathon Coach
Job Summary
Jackson State Community College is seeking qualified candidates for the Assistant Cross Country and Half Marathon Coach Position. This position will assist the Head Coach with the organizing, planning and coaching of the JSCC Cross Country and Half Marathon Team.
- Job Duties
- Instruct & teach the fundamentals of cross country and half marathon technique and strategy
- Assist with the recruitment of student-athletes
- Travel planning and coordination
- Transportation of student-athletes, as necessary
- Equipment maintenance
- Facilities maintenance
- Coaching
- Possessing the technical knowledge and teaching skills to prepare cross country and half marathon student-athletes for competitions
- Recruit prospective student-athletes to participate in cross country and half marathons.
- Ensure compliance with both national and collegiate policies.
- Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited college or university
- Prior coaching experience
- A commitment to knowing and complying with NJCAA, TCCAA, and institutional rules.

Pay Rate
