Core responsibilities
Paraprofessionals/Assistant teachers provide rehabilitative assistance to middle and high school students in classroom settings and offer supervision and guidance within the residential milieu environment. They collaborate with teachers to model positive behavior, support classroom structures, facilitate learning, and ensure student safety across academic and residential programs.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess an associate degree or 48 credits in education or a human service field and must obtain or already possess nh doe para ii licensure. Strong communication skills, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and satisfactory completion of cpi training are also required.
