Core responsibilities
The role involves building mentoring relationships with middle and high school students facing emotional and behavioral challenges, supporting daily routines, and coaching them in essential life skills. Counselors will also participate in recreational activities and work collaboratively within a supportive team structure to manage situations.
Requirements summary
Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 21 years old, meeting one of several pathways including two years of relevant experience, seven years of parenting experience, or an associate's degree with related coursework. Those who do not meet these initial criteria may qualify by signing an agreement to complete specific human services credits post-Hire.
