Speech language pathologist

The speech language pathologist evaluates, develops, and implements speech therapy services, including addressing swallowing and augmentative communication needs for referred individuals. Responsibilities also include thorough documentation, participation in interdisciplinary team meetings, and providing counsel and education to patients and caregivers.

Candidates must be licensed and registered as a speech language pathologist in new york state and hold the certificate of clinical competency from asha, meeting all required continuing education units. The role also involves supervising graduate student clinicians or clinical fellows as assigned.
