Core responsibilities
The community wellness advocate provides trauma-Focused, culturally aware, and community-Based direct services, including clinical case management, advocacy, and crisis intervention, to families and youth impacted by community violence. Responsibilities involve utilizing motivational interviewing to create service plans, implementing interventions, establishing client relationships through home visits, and connecting individuals with comprehensive services promoting healing and life skills.
Requirements summary
A minimum of three years of experience working with inner-City youth in a human service, trauma-Informed care, or social service setting is required, and a bachelor's degree in social work or a related field is preferred. Candidates must be self-Motivated, possess strong communication skills across diverse backgrounds, be willing to provide community-Based services, operate professionally on a flexible schedule including evenings/Weekends, and must have a required automobile with insurance and a valid driver's license.
