Job description
The Home Visitor position conducts visits within a family's community, focusing on optimizing the health and development of young children. This position works with parents and caregivers to provide support, advocacy, and service coordination using trauma informed and curriculum-based approaches. Outcomes will foster self-sufficiency, prenatal care, positive parenting and family dynamics, health and wellness, family safety and child development. The Home Visitor is responsible for completing full training on the evidence-based Parents as Teachers program and implementing the home visits in full fidelity.

Job Requirements
- Minimum AA degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Education, Human Services, or related field and two years of experience working with children and/or families in diverse communities.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years' experience working with low-income families with children ages birth through five in their homes.
- Bilingual preferred (Karen, Hmong, Somali, or Spanish).
- Demonstrated ability to understand and work well with families of young children challenged by economic and personal problems from socially diverse backgrounds and with other professionals.
- Ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing with a variety of people.
- Maintain a valid driver's license, current car insurance, and use of personal vehicle for agency business.
- Knowledge of experience in case management and client advocacy preferred.
