Core responsibilities
The senior direct care worker primarily provides quality care, safety, and well-Being for youth, while also supporting, training, mentoring, and guiding other staff and residents. Responsibilities include developing therapeutic activity programs, promoting positive values, and assisting residents in achieving personal goals and independent living skills.
Requirements summary
A minimum of a high school diploma or ged is required, with an associate's degree being a plus, alongside two years of experience in child welfare or omrdd being beneficial. Candidates must successfully complete therapeutic crisis intervention training (Tci), including physical restraint competency, and maintain patience and the ability to set appropriate limits.
