Physical Therapist

The role involves providing support to mother/Infant dyads regarding breastfeeding needs and lactation issues, including instructing mothers on lactation maintenance during hospitalization and potentially offering prenatal and post-Discharge follow-Up. Responsibilities also include evaluating infant oral motor mechanics, managing milk collection quality control, and assessing maternal medication compatibility with breastfeeding.

Candidates must possess an associate degree in nursing and have a minimum of two years of experience in lactation. Required credentials include being a registered nurse (Rn), holding the international board certified lactation consultant (Ibclc) certification, and possessing current bls and nrp certifications.
