Professional Coding Educator

The role involves assessing, designing, developing, and evaluating coding and documentation efforts to ensure optimal outcomes and compliance with all relevant guidelines. This includes organizing and performing internal quality reviews, developing action plans with staff to address issues, and delivering varied educational formats to providers and staff.

Candidates need a minimum of an associate's degree with 5 years of professional billing coding experience, or a high school diploma with 7 years of experience, along with required certifications like cpc, ccs-P, or rhit/Rhia. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree and specific surgical coding experience (General, vascular, or colorectal surgery).
