The Teacher I is responsible for planning and implementing the curriculum, supervision, and management of the assigned program and classroom activities. This role involves assessing children's status based on growth and development principles to identify and provide for individual needs according to departmental policies.
Candidates must possess an endorsement or bachelor's degree in a child-related field, or meet specific combinations of programmatic experience (3 or 6 months) paired with relevant early childhood education certificates or credentials. All incumbents must successfully pass required background checks as mandated by the Code of Virginia.
