Employment Specialist III

The employment specialist iii provides critical in-Person employment services, including assessments, job development, placement, training, and follow-Along support to empower individuals with disabilities to achieve competitive employment. This role involves collaborating with various partners, maintaining accurate documentation, and actively marketing services to develop job opportunities across the eastern shore of virginia.

Candidates must possess either a bachelor's degree in a related field with at least two years of experience in employment services or disability support, or a high school diploma/Ged with five years of experience in supported or transition employment services. Essential requirements include the ability to manage a caseload up to 40 consumers, marketing skills, proficiency in microsoft office, a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and eligibility for required background checks and suitability clearances.
