Professional Mentor- He Sapa (Pine Ridge Indian Reservation)

The mentor will develop and sustain long-Term, loving relationships with eight elementary school children, setting positive expectations, nurturing their strengths, and ensuring their physical and emotional well-Being. Responsibilities also include partnering with caregivers, teaching life and academic skills, incorporating cultural knowledge, and maintaining detailed documentation of activities.

Candidates need a 2 or 4-Year degree, or at least seven years of progressive experience working with children and families as an alternative, and must commit to a minimum of three years in the role. Essential abilities include strong interpersonal and communication skills, the capacity to work independently and collaboratively, and the ability to manage multiple issues effectively.
