- Sentara Health Plans is hiring a Prevention Nurse Specialist- Williamsburg, Virginia Sentara Health Plans is hiring a Prevention Nurse Specialist! This is a remote PRN status position within day shift hours. This is not a work from home role and requires onsite participation across the region. Travel is reimbursed As a PRN position, this position is not eligible for benefits.

In this role, you will contribute to a variety of health screenings and immunization events designed to empower individuals to take charge of their well-being. You will conduct one-on-one preventive screenings, including blood pressure assessments and fingerstick biometric testing, while using motivational interviewing and patient centered communication to help participants understand their results and take meaningful steps toward reducing cardiovascular and lifestyle related risks. As a trusted health partner, you’ll provide personalized guidance on key wellness topics such as tobacco cessation, adult immunizations, heart health, cancer prevention and early detection, and effective self-care practices. You will also administer seasonal influenza vaccinations in alignment with clinical standards and safety protocols.
