Direct Support Professional - Employment Training Specialist I

The employment training specialist i supports individuals with disabilities to maximize their vocational skills in site-Based or community settings, using a person-Centered approach to prepare them for future community employment. Specific duties include providing direct support, education, training, networking with community resources, and ensuring the health and safety of individuals during service hours.

Candidates must possess good interpersonal, written, oral, and communication abilities along with effective time management and organizational skills, and must be computer literate. A high school diploma/Ged and 2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities are required, along with a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
