Qualifications
- Possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited school is trained and has three years supervised experience in the examination, evaluation, and treatment of minors and their families; OR
- Possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited school and be an LLBSW or LBSW with the State of Michigan and one year of experience in the examination, evaluation, and treatment of minors and their families; OR Be a Master’s prepared LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, LPC, TLLP, or LLP with the State of Michigan with specialized training and one year of experience in the examination, evaluation, and treatment of minors and their families.
- Must be a CMHP in accordance with Medicaid Provider Manual Guidelines.
Duties: and Responsibilities:
- 1.
- Receive and initiate contact with students and families both from the contact center and the school-based clinician through outreach phone calls to the student, guardian, and school counselors when necessary for further contact information.
- Make phone calls and contact with families referred to the program.
- 2.
- Work with the family to complete the initial clerical paperwork and support the family in setting up and using the Easterseals MORC portal.
- 3.
- Coordinate and ensure the insurance is entered and verified in the Electronic Medical Record, address any financial concerns including copay and communicate these to program staff.
- 4.
- Schedule the intake assessment with the school-based clinician and manage any no show cancellations for reschedule.
- Address any transportation or telehealth concerns.
- Assist the family in scheduling any psychiatric or medication review appointments.
- 5.
- Coordinate and communicate with the school base clinician and program staff to provide excellent customer service.
- 6.
- Demonstrates knowledge of principles of trauma informed care.
- 7.
- Willingness to support and assist individuals with trauma related issues.
