Head Start Teacher Assistant

The teacher assistant will support head start teachers by assisting with classroom routines, instruction, and transitions throughout the day to create a joyful and developmentally appropriate learning space for children aged 3 to 5. Key duties include fostering a safe environment, helping implement a child-Centered curriculum, assisting with progress documentation, and modeling positive behavior.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or ged, with a child development associate (Cda) or related coursework in early childhood education being preferred. Essential physical requirements include the ability to lift 40 lbs, actively engage with children, pass a physical exam and background check, and possess a valid driver's license or reliable transportation.
