- Purpose: The Lab School Facilitator and Success Coach is responsible for supervising students in the SWVA-HEALS program on a daily basis. This position will be responsible for monitoring grades, student attendance, and student work, with the expectation of assisting the SWVA-HEALS students to achieve success.
Duties & Responsibilities
Complies with all rules, policies, and procedures as established by Emory and Henry University Supervises the SWVA-HEALS students daily and communicates the expectations for behavior. Assists students with daily assignments, grades, time management, attendance, behavior, etc. Monitors the performance of the students and communicates with the Executive Director and Assistant Director to develop plans to assist students who are not performing at the expected levels. Schedules individual conferences with students to discuss classroom performance. Monitors technology usage by the students and provides assistance with technology issues. Supports the Executive Director and Lab School staff members to ensure that program goals and objectives are accomplished and that operations run efficiently. QualificationsQualifications: Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Have or be qualified for a valid Virginia teaching license preferred. At least 3 years of K-12 classroom experience as an instructional aide or classroom teacher.
