Direct Support Professional-Residential Services LaPorte County

The direct support professional is responsible for attending to personal health care needs and assisting individuals with disabilities in learning and maintaining independent functioning skills. This includes planning and implementing daily schedules, providing supervision, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with one to two years of experience in social services or working with people with disabilities. Candidates should possess good communication skills, basic knowledge of disabilities, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
